Keyboard, Mouse & Controller Input Tests

Free browser-based diagnostics for checking common keyboard, mouse and controller input problems. Choose a test to see what your browser receives from the device.

Browser diagnostics: results describe observed events and values. They can help spot suspicious behavior, but cannot prove a hardware fault.

HOW TO USE

Tests run in your browser

Open a test, follow its short instructions and review the events or controller values the browser receives. Keyboard, mouse and controller readings are processed in this page. Diagnostic input data is not uploaded.

Browser, operating system, device drivers and controller mappings can affect what is exposed. For a useful comparison, repeat a suspicious result in another port, browser or computer when practical.

QUESTIONS

Input device testing FAQ

Can a browser test prove that a device is faulty?

No. It reports events delivered to the browser. An unusual result is a reason to investigate or compare on another setup, not proof of a hardware fault.

Are my keystrokes or controller inputs uploaded?

No. These tests process input locally in the page and do not send diagnostic input data to a server.

Why does a controller test ask me to press a button first?

Some browsers expose a connected gamepad only after it has received a button press or stick movement. The exact behavior depends on the browser and device.
